We invite papers that address any aspect of the languages and linguistics of the Himalayan and Trans-Himalayan region.
Topics may include, but are not limited to:
Phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, typology, language documentation, field reports, ethnographic studies, language technology, computational linguistics
Contributions from related disciplines (e.g., history, archaeology, ethnobotany, genetics, anthropology) that inform the history and development of Himalayan languages
Papers are not limited to the Trans-Himalayan language family but may also cover Indo-Aryan, Tai-Kadai, Austro-Asiatic, Hmong-Mien languages, as well as isolates, pidgins, and creoles traditionally spoken in the region.

Abstract deadline: March 1, 2025 (no extensions)
Abstracts should be anonymized, with a maximum length of one page, excluding references.
Include author information (name, title, institutional affiliation, and contact details) in the body of your email.
