Choice of Venue and Timing
The Himalayan Languages Symposium convenes annually. A proposal to host a future symposium can be emailed to the Secretariat in Berne at any time. The dates for the next symposium are decided by that year's acting Organizing Committee in consideration of local climate, university semesters and other relevant variables.
The symposium mailing list is stored in the website, where individuals can register for symposium newsletters and update their contact information. The website makes it easy for an Organizing Committee to post news, send circulars or disseminate information regarding publications.
Each year, the "keys" to the Himalayan Languages Symposium website are passed on to the next year's Organizing Committee.
